Everything Announced at WWDC23 (And why it matters.)

In case you missed it, Apple held its annual World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) keynote on Monday. It’s no secret that we are big fans (nerds) of Apple products here in the world of graphic design.

Here are the things to get hyped about:

MacBook Air 15”

  • New 15” Macbook Air
Equipped with Apple’s own M2 processor, the new Macbook Air offers extremely high performance and, something we all love, a sleek, lightweight design.

Contact Posters

  • Updates to IOS
Most notably, updates to communication tools designed to make them more efficient.

    • For the less tech-nerdy of us, the addition of “contact posters” allows for a fully customizable and fun look to our contact list.

    • Don’t have time to listen to your voice memos? With the new update, in-line voice memos will be transcribed!

    • Another great addition: live voicemail transcription 🙌🏼so you can decide if you need to answer the call from your sister-in-law or not.

    • Improved search filters within the messaging app.

    • Sharing is easier than ever. Airdrop large amounts of content or share a contact in seconds.

    • “Check-in” feature lets a contact know you made it home safe.

Apple Vision Pro

  • Apple Vision Pro
Apple’s “mixed reality” headset is designed to combine your favorite app experiences and the real world. Apple is treading on not-so-new territory here in the world of AR, but like most things Apple, they do it better.

    • Endorsed by Bob Iger from Disney, the Apple Vision Pro will launch with Disney + immediately available. This integration allows for an entirely new experience of the Disney stories we all love. As Bob Iger says himself,  “Real life magic.”

    • Vision Pro transforms how you engage with the apps you use everyday to make your work life and personal life easier. Collaborate with colleagues, connect with friends across the globe all from your AR headset.

The workstation of the future.

Those are just a few of the exciting new updates Apple announced on Monday. For our recap of the conference, be sure to check out today’s episode of Growing a Fruitful Brand.
